Lumbalgia aguda asociada a la carga laboral en el personal de salud y auxiliares de enfermería: Clínica Albán, Cuenca-Ecuador.

Resumen

El dolor lumbar (LBP, por sus siglas en inglés) es un problema de salud común con una prevalencia e incidencia reportadas en todo el mundo de hasta el 20 % y el 7 %, respectivamente. Los trabajadores de la salud son un grupo ocupacional que están altamente expuestos a los factores de riesgo tanto ocupacionales como psicosociales asociados con el dolor lumbar. El objetivo fue analizar el comportamiento de la lumbalgia aguda asociada a la carga laboral en el personal de salud y auxiliares de enfermería, Clínica Albán, Cuenca-Ecuador. En cuanto a la metodología, fue un estudio observacional, analítico transversal, con 49 profesionales de la salud de la Clínica Albán, de la ciudad de Cuenca. Los datos se obtendrán de un cuestionario, y se analizarán con SPSS versión 20.0. Se empleó estadística descriptiva. Para establecer la asociación de factores de riesgo de lumbalgia se aplicó OR, IC95% y Chi cuadrado, con significación para p <0.05. Según los resultados, la población estudiada es principalmente menor de 40 años, con poca experiencia laboral, la mayoría médicos. Donde el 49% tiene padecimiento de lumbalgia. Los factores de riesgo analizados no llegaron a tener una relación estadísticamente significativa con el padecimiento de lumbalgia. A modo de conclusiones el estudio determinó la prevalencia de lumbalgia en el personal de Salud de la Clínica Albán. La causa de esta afección es multifactorial, donde intervienen desde factores sociodemográficos hasta laborales, por lo que se debe realizar un análisis para prevenir y poder tratar a tiempo la lumbalgia.
