Conmorbilidades asociadas al virus de Epstein – Barr: variables sociodemográficas y diagnóstico de laboratorio en la población

El objetivo de esta investigación fue: analizar las comorbilidades asociadas al virus de Epstein-Barr en la población, centrándose en la comprensión de las variables sociodemográficas y los métodos de diagnóstico de laboratorio. Pues, el virus de Epstein-Barr (VEB), miembro de la familia de los herpesvirus, constituye una infección viral ubicua en la población humana. Su presencia se extiende ampliamente por todo el mundo, afectando a personas de diferentes edades y regiones geográficas. Para ello, se implementó una metodología documental de tipo descriptiva, aplicando diferentes criterios de elegibilidad. Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica utilizando diversas bases de datos científicas como PubMed, SciELO, Lilacs, Science Direct, Google Scholar y Redalyc, así como informes de salud. Las ecuaciones de búsqueda incluyeron términos como "enfermedad linfoproliferativa", "virus de Epstein-Barr", "variables sociodemográficas" y "diagnóstico de laboratorio", combinados mediante operadores booleanos como 'AND', 'OR' y 'NOT'. En donde se eligieron un total de 20 artículos. Los resultados revelaron que las variables sociodemográficas existentes en este virus son la edad particularmente en adultos > de 20 años, de género masculino. El lo que respecta a las pruebas clínicas y de laboratorio destacan técnicas como la carga de ADN-VEB en muestras de sangre, la ADNemia del VEB.
